Each year, the Phi Theta Kappa Officers at Co-Lin are required to participate in a “Passion Project” that allows them to partner with a group or organization to raise awareness, fundraise, etc. This year’s Officer Team President, Mary Beth Munn, chose a local organization, Mississippi’s Toughest Kids Foundation, to partner with. Mississippi’s Toughest Kids is a foundation whose mission is to build and maintain the first and only year-round, fully handicap accessible camp facility in Mississippi to be used by children and adults with serious illnesses, physical and mental challenges, and other special needs. Together, Munn and MTK are putting on a 5k Run/Walk to fundraise and raise awareness for the foundation. The 5k Run/Walk was held Aug. 25, at Copiah-Lincoln Community College.
