DOUBLE CHECKING – Representatives from the campaigns of Thad Cochran, U.S. Senator and Chris McDaniel’s, State Senator, started the painstaking task of reviewing the Copiah County ballot boxes from the June 24 Republican Run Off Election. Thad Cochran, six term U.S. Senator won Copiah County by a larger margin that first reported during the June 24 Run Off Election.

Cochran won by 1,841 to McDaniel’s 1,479. On June 24, the unofficial results were Cochran 1,764 votes and McDaniel 1,415.
